The full release of Deathground will have new player abilities and character classes, new maps and zones, ranked multiplayer seasons, and different game-modes with more PvP aspects down the pipeline. Jaw Drop Games have self-funded pre-production and developed early gameplay but are now looking to Kickstarter as the next step towards full production and community-driven development, with a Kickstarter goal of US$100,000. “We’ve been building the foundations of the game for over 6 months now and have been carefully planning our production pipeline and creative strategy. TBC - Add to Wishlist Deathground is a solo and co-op survival horror game that throws players into a desperate battle for survival against deadly AI dinosaurs. In order to do so, Corvus must harness the power of the plague from boss monsters in his quest, granting him new abilities.Deathground also features an original score by BAFTA-nominated composer, David Housden, known for his work on Thomas was Alone and Q.U.B.E. It’s up to Corvus to stop the monsters, as well as reclaim his memory in the process. The resulting attempt to stop its use resulted in the kingdom being swarmed with monsters. Thymesia tells the story of a kingdom that discovers there’s a price to pay for dabbling in alchemy. Thymesia was previously delayed from its original December 2021 release to focus on getting the game to the best possible state for release, as well as focusing on development for the PlayStation and Xbox versions. “We are 100 percent committed to making Thymesia the best experience possible, and those few extra days allow us to do this by implementing changes and fixes that were asked for across all platforms.”

Originally announced for August 9th for release for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series, OverBorder Studio has announced that Thymesia‘s release will be bumped a week to August 18th.Īccording to the developers, it was decided to delay the release of Thymesia in response to community feedback from the recent Steam demo. Those looking forward to getting into OverBorder Studio’s upcoming soulslike Thymesia will have a little while longer to wait.
So obviously, if you want to see this come to fruition (as Capcom doesn’t seem to want to resurrect Dino Crisis anytime soon), then check these guys out. The team seems to have laid out a comprehensive plan, including a timeframe that includes a Q3 2021 Early Access release on Steam. As with these Kickstarters, there are several backer levels, depending on your contribution, as well as stretch goals. Jaw Drop Games also state that the game’s community will “have an active role in helping to shape the game experience”, as well as “an emphasis on player feedback”. If you like horror games and have never had the opportunity to play Alien Isolation, no more excuses are possible. Deathground is focused on squad-based and solo gameplay, along with “unpredictable” dino AI that will “hunt you down, influence decision-making and drive a tailored experience.” Judging from the screenshots and gifs, the game definitely evokes survival horror elements (including an Aliens-style motion tracker!), while sporting some great graphics. The UK-based team, who are “passionate dinosaur and horror fans” and made up of industry veterans, are currently asking for around 80K GBP to complete the project.
Okay, so we’ve got that fan remake of Dino Crisis still being worked on, but you still want more dinosaur horror? Jaw Drop Games is looking to fill that void with their own dino survival horror game called Deathground, which just launched its Kickstarter, but also has a Steam page.
